INGREDIENTS:

  • 200 grams of almond flour
  • 2 TBSP of xanthan gum
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 TBSP water
  • Cooked sausages of choice

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Line a sheet pan with baking paper and preheat the oven to 160°C
  2. Mix all your dry ingredients together and make a hole in the center.
  3. Crack your eggs and add the water into the hole and whisk together without mixing the dry ingredients in.
  4. Mix all the ingredients together until your dough comes together into a combined ball.
  5. Dough will be slightly sticky. Let rest for five minutes.
  6. Roll out your ball between your baking paper until it is about 1mm thick.
  7. Cut into thin strips and wrap them around your sausages.
  8. Bake for 5 minutes then turn to the grill setting and bake for another 2-3 minutes or until the get crispy on top. (optional).
  9. Make their eyes with the sauce of your choice.

NOTES:
I KNOW THAT SOUNDS LIKE A LOT OF XANTHAN GUM BUT IT IS THE CORRECT AMOUNT.
USE WARM TEMP EGGS IF YOU CAN.
DON’T SKIP THE RESTING FOR 5 MIN STEP.
USE ALMOND FLOUR VS ALMOND MEAL IF YOU CAN.
